On-the-job training
As an intern you will obtain a comprehensive insight into our daily work routine. Our internship program offers you the opportunity to gain practical experience in different areas of the business. Many interesting assignments await you:
- General, secretarial assignments
- Entering general text content into the PC for translation into and from German and English
- Writing and formatting scientific texts in several languages
- Setting up tables in MS-Word and Excel
- Extensive data entry of relevant terminology (Microsoft Access database)
- Computer-aided order management and coordination
- Guidance and support of freelance translators, preparation and customization of translations and compilation of translators' manuals
- Proofreading and comparison of translations in German and several foreign languages
- Maintenance and updating of computerized translation memories and databases
- Preparation and customization as well as proofreading and comparison of translations for completeness
- Support jobs in the process of creating translations up to the stage of the rough translation
